I am currently working in the UK as a pipefitter and have been since starting my apprenticeship from the age of 16. I am now 24. I am wanting to pursue my dream of trying out the life in Canada. I am wanting to work in my trade whether it be in a fabrication workshop or on sites.
My idea is to obtain the working holiday visa and work for as long as I can in the hope that I like it enough to apply for a working visa or maybe be sponsored for it. However I am confused by the Journeyman qualification for the site work. Is there a way of obtaining this in the UK before arriving in Canada? Does anyone know the best companies to approach with my CV?
Any help, past experiences and advice would be much appreciated.
Regards,
Ryan
