We applied for WP extension(me and my husband) through his company(i'm on open WP) by July 26th 2007.That time the processing period was 75 days. So we gladly waited and started checking on our extension status a month back.First they replied saying that our application was misplaced and was never processed and asked us to resend the copy again.We were highly frustrated.Then after sending the copies, we hear from them saying they found our original copy which was mailed 3 months back and it has been sent to a different office for review. We were asked to wait for 2 weeks before checking on status. Today when we checked,gic says that they dont know the status yet and it might take 16 weeks to process.
We don't know what to do now. Our healthcard,SIN everything needs to be extended and we are waiting still. We also plan to buy a house which is on hold now cos of the WP status. We have already extended our WPs last year and got it in 3 weeks with no issues.
Does anyone know what could be the reason.Please help us handling this issue better.

Seems we maybe in the same situation I sent mine off 8 weeks later I received a letter stating it has been sent to Montreal for processing, nothing more. The letter basically states don call us well call you. I need to leave for meeting with clients and I cannot leave until I have my permit renewed.
