Could you help me with this case:

A year ago I got work visa, it expires July 1st.
My work permit expires Aug 1st (it took two month for me to move to canada)

I applied for extension and I know that I can stay in canada while waiting.
But I have to leave the country on business during July.

So the problem is, while I have valid work permit - I can not enter canada (as permit is not a document for border service)

The question is if I can apply for new visa, while waiting for new work permit?
