Hello Forum !

I have arrived in canada 15 days back. I am here on work permit (intially 1 year) my company will extend it every year. This is a permanent job. Now the question is/are

1.Can I apply for PR when I am in canada?
2.If yes then where should I apply?
3. How long does it take to process the application for my PR?


Note : I fall under skilled worker category and points are more than 79.

I am not sure on this but you can either apply at the office in Buffalo or from your country of residence. Since you have a work permit, your process should be a lot quicker than most other applications. Call the CIC toll free line, the number is on their website and they will tell you which office to apply at (and if you want you can provide them your email address and they will e-mail you the application forms as well.
