work permit to permanent residency

Postby highlander on Sun Feb 12, 2006 12:12 am

i have finished a 1 year contract in canada under a temporary worker visa. i came back here in Philippines last Oct. 2005. at present, i am on the process of receiving my renewed job offer from my same employer together with the HRSDC confirmation letter. my questions are;

am i qualified to apply for permanent residency after completing another 1 year full time work?

if i will arrive in canada, can i apply my PR within canada or is it a must that i will send my application at the canadian embassy in Philippines.

It is impossible to know if you are qualified in any permanent resident category on the basis of your experience alone.

At present, Skilled Worker PR applications for individuals within Canada must be submitted to a visa office outside of Canada.
