I applied for work permit renewal,but it was transferred to local office,toronto for further processing. It's been 6 months allready.

all they wrote is "please do not contact cic regarding status of case and cic will contact with further instructions in due course" and passports must be valid for duration of stay in canada etc etc.

typically how long do they take for local office processing ? is there any way i can contact them to know the status or speed up process?
I also have PR application pending at buffalo which i applied in july 2005,and waiting for interview date.
and this workpermit exention(renewal) is refused one time , so i re-applied again with some more supporting documents like company photos etc.
and i have kid is who is Canadian Citizen born here in Canada.

I got workpermit after waiting for any year. They called me for interview to come with more documents to the local office and then gave me work visa after they are satisfied. let me know your email id if you need more details. why did they refuse the WP ?did they gave any reason ?
