I am a UK citizen, recently arrived in Vancouver.
I have applied for an Immigration Visa (Skilled Worker - I work in IT), but this will take up to 6-8 months apparently.
When in the UK, I was advised that if I want to work here before getting my immigration visa, I should come here on a visitor visa (I get 6 months, because I am from the UK) and then apply for work while here.
Once I get a job offer, they told me that I will get a work permit easily.

I have been applying for work, and it looks like I might get a job offer soon.

Once I have a job offer, how do I get the work permit?
Do I have to go back to the UK and apply from there, or can I apply from inside Canada?
