Work permit for nominee

Postby tucktaylor on Sun Jun 12, 2011 11:58 pm

previously posted a f/t approved job with SINP for provincial nomination for PR.

As a union member (film industry), i previously received (2) letters of guarantees of employment from (2) different venues stating that as a union member, i am guaranteed work in their buildings based on the laws of their contracts with our union, at approximately 50 days a year per building at my discretion. Because that is not considered 'full time' for SINP rules, I was forced to obtain a f/t job offer in a subsequent field though the income generated from the 2 venues pays more than many earn in a year.

Now that I have that nomination, and applied for PR status with the NOC code of my 'f/t' job (which I will retain), am I able to get additional work permits for the other two companies who have already written letters of guaranteed employment on my behalf even though they are only p/t offers?

My f/t job, is a large cut in salary, and the ability to have additional work to suppliment will be needed in order to sustain life in Canada.

It is possible to seek additional work permits for the other positions if they are compatible with the full time position. Separate Labour Market Opinions would be required for each.
