This site is awesome in terms of the information you guys provide. Kudos to that. I have a question.
I am an international student who graduated from an 8 month course from a college in April 2011. I will get a one year post graduate work permit. I become eligible to apply for Permanent residency after that as per the points system. If I apply for residency just before the work permit expires, will I get implied status till I receive a decision on the status of the PR application?

Implied status does not apply to permanent resident applications, only inland renewals of temporary resident class permits (i.e., visitor, student, worker).
