Work Permit Challange for a grade 8 passout

Postby Wilson David on Mon Dec 20, 2010 11:03 am

Hi David, there is a employer who is willing to employ me as a Tuner and Fitter. I live outside of Canada and I would like to apply for this position. I have more than 20 years of experience as a Turner and Fitter but my education is only grade 8. However, I can communicate in English (read, write and speak).

In case the LMO is approved, I would like to know what is the chance of I getting a work permit. Will there be a problem due to my education?. I would greatly appreciate your input. Thanks.

The information supplied is not sufficient to accurately classify your occupation, however most such occupations "usually" (i.e., not always) require completion of secondary school, but several years of experience, other training or certification, etc. can - in some cases - substitute for this.
