I have applied for the extension of the Work Permit and it was Approved but I have not received the copy of the Work Permit yet. It seems the Work Permit has been lost somewhere as it is sent via the Standard Mail. I have to file the Visitor VISA of my wife in India. I talked the helpline number and they told me that I have to wait till 6 weeks to get them issue the new copy of the Work Permit. This is long time. Is there any process by whcih I can send some doucment from here to my wife in India so that CIC in India come to know that I have approved WP and till is valid till 21st oct 2011. The helpline says they cannot send me any soft copy or email confirmation. Please help me, to whom should I contact?

The visa office in New Delhi would likely be able to determine your work permit status on the basis of your name and date of birth; if you have it supplying your work permit file number could help. You may fine that they are unwilling to issue your wife a work permit in the absence of a copy of your actual work permit, however.
