Hi ,

I submitted the application for Work Permit at Canadian Consulate, Buffalo on 06/14/2011. They took the documentation from me and said they will get back to me in mail. They did not take my passport either. Also, I was not provided any acknowledgement or receipt.
Is there a way I can inquire them about my "Immigration File Number" so that I can track the application online.

A written inquiry stating your name and date of birth may be sent. However, online tracking applies to inland cases only.

Thank you David. I wrote an e-mail with my name and requested them to send me the receipt or Immigration File Number .
