Hello! My husband is holding a W-1 visa (multiple entries) and a work permit, both valid until Aug 31, 2012. I am holding a visitor visa (multiple entries) and a work permit, both valid until Aug 31, 2012 as well (since I applied for a work permit after arriving in Canada). We plan on travel abroad this summer, but we realize that our work permits "do not authorize re-entry". Is there any difficulty for us to re-enter Canada? Do we need to apply for another work permit after the trip? Thank you very much. Betty
If you have multiple entry visas for the stated validity, that would permit for travel abroad and return to a Canadian port of entry to seek re-admission. New work permits would not be required.
