Work permit

Postby shey0324 on Sun Mar 20, 2011 11:25 pm

Hi there. I just got few questions about work permit. My work permit got expired last February 11, 2011. I found a new employer and I am currently waiting for my work permit to come. While waiting for it, I found another employer who's willing to process LMO and work permit for me. Would I be able to quit on the first employer that I got? And continue with the process with another employer?

If it would take 2 months for the whole process of the LMO and work permit and my 90 days would expire on May 11, 2011, do I need to apply for restoration? What would be my status by then?

Could you please help me? Your response would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Shella

There is nothing preventing you from terminating work with one employer and seeking work with another so long as you have a valid work permit at such time as you work for either. The information provided is not sufficient to determine if you need or are eligible for a restoration application or what your status would be while awaiting a new work permit.
