I am looking for any information on receiving a work permit in Canada, I am from the united states. My main goal is to pursue music with our band, however, it still hasnt been clear to me how I need to go about gaining the proper credentials to show, can anyone help with any information about what I should, or may be able to do? The nature of the venue that you would seek to perform at would determine the requirements. If the venue is a bar or restaurant type venue, then a Service Canada Confirmation and a work permit will be required. Otherwise, you may be exempt from the requirement of a work permit.
