Hi there.

I'm an english guy over here in canada on a year long working holiday visa. I'm aware that these type of visas cannot be extended, but mine runs out after 10 months because it coincides with my passport expiry date. I was told when I applied for my visa and also when I entered the country that it shouldn't be a problem to extend the visa for the extra 2 months as long as I get a new passport. Now I spoke to someone at SWAP (the company from which I got the visa) and they think I should just apply for a new passport and then apply for a replacement visa from the citizen and immigration canada (CIC), although they were not sure. I just cant seem to get any information from these people, from either their website or their phone service. I'm reluctant to just apply for a new passport because this would invalidate my current visa.

Does anyone have any idea if this is the correct route to take? I'm at a loss and times slowly ticking away. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
