Wanting to work in Clifton Hills as bartender, have leads.

HI,
I have contacted a couple of employers in Niagara Falls Canada and have a few leads on instant employment. Have no idea how or if I can even start right away as a bartender/server. I've read a few posts but I'm still confused. Does the service industry qualify me for a work visa and if I already have a job (pending visa status) how long will it take for me to be able to start. Thank you.

I'm gonna reply to my own post by saying I apply right at the border in Niagara Falls then go to my emplpoyer and fill out the papperwork? That's what I'm getting when I read the posts and your replies. Let me know if I'm right please.

The occupations that you have described would generally require a Labour Market Opinion for eligibility for a work permit. Such a LMO must be obtained prior to applying for the work permit, whether that is at a port of entry or a visa office.
