I am wondering if residents of Ireland and Northern Ireland need a work visa if they are volunteering in Canada in the school system or if police checks and medicals are all tht is necessary. The placements would be for 6 weeks and would not displace other workers. It would essentially be voluntary work experience.

Volunteer positions, unless otherwise exempt from the requirement of a work permit, do require that the candidate go through the normal process.
