Updating PR application with work permit information

Postby Selica on Thu Nov 30, 2006 9:19 pm

Hi,

I am very glad that you have this forum, and thank you very much for the help you provide to so many people.

I have applied for PR in Canada a year ago, while working in another country. After that, I got a job in Canada and now live and work here with a temporary work permit. My employer is considering employing me permanently, once I get my PR approved.

My question is:

1) since I obtained my temporary work permit after submitting my permanent residence application, should my permanent job offer receive a separate labour market opinion from HRSDC in order to get additional points for my application score, or I can just use the documentation obtained for my temporary work permit for the same job?

2) If I need a separate HRSDC - can your firm help to process the forms for HRSDC?

Thanks a lot for your advise!

It is possible for your current work permit to allow you to earn the points for Arranged Employment in your PR application, but it is not automatic. A more thorough examination of the case would be required to determine such eligibility. Alternatively, an AEO from Service Canada could be sought to secure such points.

You may contact us directly for information on our ability to provide you with the service you require.
