Hello, my husband is working as goldsmith in Alberta. I have applied for spousal work permit along with my daughter's TRV application. I have not gotten any response for my application. My daughter's application was denied. What could have gone wrong?

What did the refusal letter say?

The letter stated that we were not able to satisfy the visa officer that my daughter would leave Canada at the end of her authorized stay in the country. Shouldn't her application be assessed based on my spousal work permit application, as I indicated that she is an accompanying dependent?

Any application for temporary resident status (e.g., foreign worker, foreign student, visitor) is based in part on the immigration official's subjective impression as to whether or not the candidate is likely to depart Canada upon the expiration of his or her visa. No-one is automatically admissible and dependents are not automatically included in the way that is the case for permanent resident applications.

In this case, unfortunately, it appears that the officer is not satisfied as to visitor admissibility. it is unlikely that your daughter was refused on her own. It is likely that your own refusal may be forthcoming. A new application may be submitted, in which more evidence of the ties of each candidate to the home country would need to be provided.
