I have a question about the time schedule for applying Work Permit. My Work permit expires in September 2011. I just wanted to know that, is there a condition from CIC to apply for LMO only 3 months before the Work Permit expires, or can the Work permit be applied much before it (may be 6 months before work permit expires)?

Also as a part of LMO process, is it essential for the company applying for LMO to provide Tax details. If possible, can you pls let me know, what all things are required for the company to provide?

The expiration of a LMO Confirmation will be at most 6 months. As such, seeking it too far in advance of the intent to apply for a work permit, renewal, or change-of-terms may be fruitless. As application processing delays vary by province and case (to some extent for the latter), it is difficult to arbitrarily estimate the best time to apply. Specific document requirements for a given case will be determined by the circumstances of such; there is no generally applicable checklist other than a duly completed form.
