Hi , Myself and common law spouse are British Citizens with an offer of a 6 month internship with $300 stipend with accomodation on an organic farm in B.C. Working holiday work pemit is aimed at 18-30s. We are 40 & 38. This is a bona fide learning experience to prepare us for setting up an organic farm of our own either in UK or maybe Canada at a later date. Is there an obvious route we are missing to get a temporary work permit? If yes would an LMO be neccessary?
Is there a difference if we don't receive the stipend (just accomodation)? Any helpful suggestions welcome.
Cheers
OK, found High Commisions status of Internships. Paid or unpaid makes no difference. Not eligable for SAWP as not North American. Have we run out of options? Not prepared to cheat as if caught, likely to effect any future plans we might make to imigrate. Don't feel like an old codger yet. Will be horrified to have to give up on our plans because Canada has decided we're past it!
