Temporary Work Permit Application

Postby Ely on Tue Nov 10, 2009 1:31 pm

Hi My name is Ely from Philippines, I'm currently applying for a temporary work permit visa for Canada. I wanted to seek an advice if my application will be approve or not. When I submitted my application after 5 days a receive a letter from the Canadian embassy in manila for a medical examination and they are asking for an "OFW(overseas filipino worker) information sheet from POEA(Philippine Overseas Employment Administration)". When I ask for this document in POEA it shows that I dont have any record from their office since I was hired directly from my previous work abroad in Dubai and Singapore and I didnt apply through an employment agency. I went to Dubai and Singapore as a Tourist and then I got hired by my employer. I wrote a letter of response to the Canadian embassy stating that I don't have any record in POEA and attached my employment certificate and a copy of my work permit in both country. Since then I didn't receive any reply. My concern is since I didn't submit the requested OFW information sheet from the POEA could this be a reason for me to get my visa application rejected?
I'm hoping to hear from anyone who can advice me regarding my application.
Ely
