I am a California RN and have a job offer in BC as an aide until I can get my RN license there. How long will it take for a temporary work permit to be issued for an aide position?

You would have to anticipate a delay of approximately 45 days to account for the Service Canada Confirmation that would be required for a position other than a RN, which would otherwise be subject to NAFTA.

thankyou....... the company that has offered me a job sent in the request to Service Canada October 10th. I am assuming that this lengthy time indicates that they are having problems in getting the position approved. Any suggestions?
