I have a temporary work permit for a Calgary company. My wife has an open work permit via the spousal program and she has been offered a position as a contractor in a health research facility (not health care, but administration).

Is she allowed to work as a contractor? Does someone know about liabilities, exclusion of liability? What are the steps she has to go to be able to write invoices? Links or hints would be very helpful!

I am an indian national & have a job offer from Canadian Telecom company. Can any one tell me , how much time it in real takes iin india to get a work visa if you already have a job offer from Canadian company. I need this information urgently.
