Hello All,

I recently received my work permit and i was on a visitors visa in Canada. My work visa was approved by Buffalo and i have it stamped in my passport. Now i wanna do a status change. Some people told me i could go to US-Canada border and do it. How ever i do not have a US visa.

If i don't have a valid US visa can i still do that? If yes can any one share their experience with me.

You mentioned that you were in a visitor visa in Canada when you received your Work Permit. Could you please tell me how long is the processing of your Work Permit? Does it mean it is possible for me to go there as a visit visa then search for a job and apply for Work Permit? Please do advise me because i'm planning to go there as visit visa but i have no idea if it is similar to Dubai that if you get a job then they can process your employment visa.
