i am currently working in canada and have a work visa which is limited to my current employer.

i would like to keep my current job and start a business. can i do this on my current visa?

You are able to start the business and act as its Director or engage in supervisory responsibilities or other duties consistent with a business-visitor. You would need a separate work permit to be more involved.

just to clarify

are you saying that i can start a business and act as a supervisor with my current visa? without having to get any other type of visa?
