Serious Work Injury - Help!

Postby Jon J on Fri Jan 21, 2011 10:14 pm

I am in Canada on a work holiday visa.
The visa expired on the 29th Dec 2010.
My employer had applied for an LMO & is still awaiting conformation
On the 21st Dec 2010 i was involved in a construction accident that left me with my jaw broken in 3 places & 12 cracked teeth.
I have a letter from the surgeon who operated stopping me from flying for 4 weeks. This period has now passed.
Where do i stand?

If i leave Canada & re enter on a holiday visa, will my treatment still be covered by the WSIB?
Is there any way of staying for an other few weeks on compassionate grounds, my jaw is still wired shut, i can not eat solid foods & my teeth cannot be repaired until my jaw heals.
I would prefer to stay in Canada & finish treatment with the same doctor, who has been excellent throughout.
HELP!
