risks of applying at the border

Postby ls322 on Wed May 25, 2011 4:39 am

I've got a job offer, had LMO exemption, and it seems to suggest at the bottom that I should just fly in and go to the immigration office when I arrive and try to get a visa there.
Im a bit concerned about doing this since it's leaving a lot to chance, but I'm struggling to find a way to apply for a visa otherwise. The UK canadian embasssy website is incredibly difficult to navigate and noone seems to be able to help.
How risky is it to just fly in and try for a visa there, or how do I apply before hand (given I only have 3 weeks left until Im due to go)?
Thanks

If you have an exemption opinion letter from the government, then presentation of the exact case that was used to obtain such should be a low risk affair.
