hi, im worried about my work permit, it wil due on dec 8 2006, i passed by application for working permit renewal last oct 27 2006, until now i havent recieve anything from the government, what will happend to me? i dont want to go home!

Assuming you applied to Vegreville, the typical delays for a response at present are approxiamtely 50 days.

i am ona work permit here and it expires 1.2.2007. my employers have applied for a renewal of the LMO with HRDC in OCT'2006 but still await approval. Now I am in a delima that what should I do now. I called vegreville and they said you can apply for renewal only if you have a fresh LMO. So I am stuck as to what should I do. Should I apply for an extention as a visitor so that I get some time to reapply my work permit if the LMO comes after 1.2.2007. I am totally confused here. Please can you help me in this matter.

The extension of the the original LMO will be required prior to eligibility to extend your work permit. Once the latter extension is submitted, your status in Canada remains intact until such time as the decision is received.
