Hi all, I am currently on a post grad work permit which expires at the end of March. I have just started looking into the process of renewing my work permit, and heard through someone that we don't have to go through an LMO anymore (due to a new law that was implemented last year) and that instead my employer only has to fill in a 'confirmation' form and send it to Service Canada. Did anyone hear similar news, and is it true?

LMO and Confirmation are terms for the same process. The circumstances of the case (i.e., qualifications of applicant and details of position) would determine this requirement.
