Re-entry

Postby gmarian on Wed Feb 16, 2011 12:03 am

Hello,
My husband is here on a work permit, valid until 2012. It states not valid for re-entry. We would like to go on vacation in a few months. Is that a condition that can be changed?
He is a New Zealand passport holder. I am a Canadian citizen, so I am ok.
Any feedback would be appreciated, I've read everything on the CIC website and there isn't any information pertaining to this.
Thank you.

A work permit is not an entry visa, which is why that wording exists. As a NZ citizen, your husband is passport visa exempt and so may leave Canada and seek to return without applying for an entry visa.
