Proof of Funds for Visit Visa (family members to follow me)

Hi Sir David! Thank you for having this kind of forum which is really helpful to us.

Please allow me the ask this: I am already here in Canada and waiting for the release of my work permit for NOC B. My wife and son will be applying for temporary resident visa (visit visa) once I received the work permit as they want to be here with me for the duration of my employment. My question is: On our case where I will be working highly skilled here and I will have my wages weekly, do they need to submit to the CIC the proof of funds as part of their application? If needed, any particular amount of bank account in our case? Because honestly we are presently under financial dilemma. We do not even have real properties under our name. Would that be a ground for denial? What can we do or explain to have the visa approved? Hope you could enlighten me on this. Thank you so much and more power!

Proof of funds and/or evidence of financial support is typically a requirement for cases processed at visa offices abroad. Documentation of your wage in Canada may be able to supplement for any shortage in available liquid funds. The decision on such will be at the discretion of the reviewing officer.
