Hi David,im 43y/o male from u.k,great forum,yours and others help has been invaluable...i have a job offer from a Edmonton company,they have applied for a lmo locally for me to gain a temp work visa,it was sent 10th Oct,it appears hat the processing times are approx 45+ days,is this correct?also is there anyway my new employers can contact someone to get an update?,also once i gain my hrsdc confiermation do i send this original or a copy with my application to the embassy in london or can i apply at a port of entry?....thanks for your help once again,and keep up the great work,i would have given up by now!

Your employer can contact the local Service Canada office for information on processing delays. It is generally possible to get an indication of where the office is in the backlog of cases (i.e., "Presently working on cases of this date.").

Once the LMO is granted, you can seek the work permit at a port of entry.

Hi David and Happy New year to you,thanks for your reply,its helped clear up a few things,however my employer in Edmonton doesnt seem to be able to speak to a human being on a phone!,anyone any ideas or contact numbers he can try?,
David, just so im clear,once i recieve my LMO from hrsdc in Edmonton,can i apply at a port of entry(airport),without having to send it to the embassy here in London first?,if so this will speed up my entry by a good 2 weeks at least!!!!
