1) is the post-graduate work permit an open work permit?

2) If the boss of my current company fires me, will my current post-graduate work permit be unavailable?

1) it's employer-specific, not open usually
2) it's not a concern for you whether your boss fires you or not, in terms of your work permit validity. It's gonna stay until it expires which gives an option for us to seek for other employment. when you get fired (hope not), just switch to other employer and apply for the change of your current post grad work permit, which will still be valid until the original expiry date
