Hi,
I am foreign student in Canada with an Off-Campus work permit and will be graduating soon. From CIC's web site, I understand that I can start full-time employment while my Post-Grad work permit is being processed as long as my study and Off-Campus work permits are still valid. (Reference: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/work ... ad-how.asp)
Referring to the above, assuming I graduate in April 2011, I can submit my application for a Post-Grad work permit and start my job immediately (e.g. in May 2011) because my study and off-campus work permits will still be valid (they expire in Sep 2012).
Now, suppose I receive my Post-Grad work permit in June or July 2011, when am I eligible to apply for permanent residence under the Canadian Experience Class, i.e. would it be 1 year from the date I started working or one year from the date the Post-Grad work permit was issued? Also, when I submit my PR application under the CEC, do I provide copies of both the Off-Campus and Post-Grad work permits?
Any advice is appreciated.
Thank you!
