I came to Canada from the UK on a working holiday visa, and during my one year stay, was sponsored by a company to stay in the country to assume a 3 year role (an LMO was completed).

So now I have a 3-year job and company specific visa, and my partner has an open visa off the back of that.

I am deeply unhappy in my job and was wondering if it's possible to convert my existing visa to an open work permit, so I am able to work for a different employer for my remaining time in Canada?

Unless you are eligible for another youth program visa, or unless your partner obtains a company specific work permit and you become the dependent, conversion to an open work permit is not generally possible.
