Permit without employer!!!

Postby headfade on Wed Sep 26, 2007 9:13 am

I'm from the UK and looking to be a ski rep in Canada for the winter, on the asessment forms it says I need to know the name of a Canadian employer. I need the permit to apply for the job, therefore dont have an employer as yet. Does anyone know if it is still possible to get a permit without a confirmed employer??
If i dont get the job I'll be working in the UK for a few months to save, then will go to Canada and find a job whilst I am there. Is this possible too?

Thanks.

The typical requirement for eligibility to apply for a work permit is that a job offer must be present. Otherwise, under the circumstances described, you may consider youth programs such as the Student Work Away or Work Holiday Programs.
