My husband is in Canada with Student Visa. I know that a open work permit can be obtained for the spouse of student. But now, I have a V1 multiple entry visa. Please let me know if I would be still eligible to get open work permit with visitor visa. If so please brief the procedure to obtain work permit once I reach Canada.

Spouses of foreign students are generally eligible for open work permits for the duration of the study permit. If you are within Canada as a visitor, you have the option of seeking a change of terms inland (IMM1249) or seeking a new work permit outside of Canada (typically via the IMM1295).
