Open work permit - do I need details of a job lined up

A few questions - I hope someone can help me with please!

I am in the process of applying for my open work permit. My husband is applying for a study permit. I was under the impression that unlike a regular work permit, for an open work permit you do not have to have work lined up.

However in the application form it asks you of where you intend to work by geographic area, job title and giving a description of duties? Qu.1 - So do I need to have a job already sorted?

I was intending to work as a behavioural therapist with autistic children which is what I'm trained to do (but this morning I have seen on the CIC website that this would require me to get a medical for my visa). We are needing to leave England on September 1st, I don't think I would have time to do the medical before I leave.

Qu.2 - could I put down that I'm intending to do admin/office work and then get the medical exam once I am in Canada and then go to the embassy with my certificate and request a change in the type of job I will be doing?

Any and all help would be much appreciated! I'm thoroughly confused - thanks!

If eligible for an open work permit, then it is not generally necessary to have work arranged in advance of an application. For the purpose of the application form, as it is necessary to complete everything, you may enter a hypothetical position or that the section is not applicable and the reason for such.
