I have recently been through the ordeal of applying for permanent residence in Canada application. It has gone fairly well but took a long time and I finally got my acceptance in principle and my open work permit. I'm not sure what the next step is and how to use my permit. My question is do I need to apply for social insurance number or do I take my work permit directly to the employer. If I have to apply for social insurance number. How do I go about doing that. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated Since I am new at this whole game.
