New job

Postby juliehendry on Wed Jan 24, 2007 11:00 am

Hi

I'm engaged to my Canadian partner and am currently here on a work permit (intra company transfer). I fully support our family (him and is 19 year old daughter) financially and we are 7 weeks away from common law (date we moved in together)

I have a skilled worker PR app in for a year now and a new job offer which would allow my family to live instead of our current situation (my employers forced a crap salary on me when I came here).

Can someone give me advice as we really need me to take this job - can I change my skilled worker application to family class ? Should I lie and say 7 weeks earlier ? What is the likelihood of me being able to change my work permit ? If I wait six weeks I believe I can get a work permit once I am applying for PR under family class ? Is this right?

How would family class work if my fiance is unemployed and I am the wage earner ? How could he agree to support me ? I am so confused and our debt is mounting.

Thanks in advance.
