Hi there! I recently had a job offer from CanAlta Real Estates Services based in Alberta. They are ready to hire me for a period of one year as a food and beverage server. As I am currently based in UK with a Indian nationality, I need some information as to what kind of visa will I be issued.

Also I need to know wheather this visa will be extendable for a futher period of say 1 or 2 more years, if I wanted to extend my contract. Secondly, is it possible to apply for a permanent residency while I am based in canada during this period? Your help with regards this querries will be greatly appreciated.

You will require a Service Canada Confirmation, by which the employer will have to demonstrate that no Canadians were available for the position. The work permit will be limited to the duration of the Confirmation, and is eligible for extension based on the extension of that Confirmation.

You may apply for PR status while in Canada on a temporary work visa.
