I am Samanth Reddy. I am looking forward to apply for a Canadian Work Visa. I have 4+ years of experience in IT industry. I am planning to migrate to Canada. Till date I do not have any employment offer from any company in Canada. Is there a chance to apply for a work permit on my own expenses and search for a job in Canada. If yes please guide me through the process ( if possible please provide me with some documents or some links ). How much time does it take to get a work visa. It would be a great help if you provide me with all the required information for applying a work permit like cost, duration etc..
Do I need to apply for work permit directly or do I need to go through a consultancy which is advisable?

As a general rule, you cannot seek a work permit in the absence of arranged work in Canada.
