Postby Mickeymouse on Sun Jun 04, 2006 3:14 pm

Hi from Mickey Mouse, :)

I am in the process of applying immi applc. & am currently in a fix abt IELTS. I was thinking  of submitting a simple applc initially explaining my English knowledge & bckgrnd.

1.I am informed that I need to submit a letter for this purpose. Wat is a submission letter like :?:

2.Do I get a File No by submitting jus a submission later & then later goin for a IELTS :?:

3. when wud they ask for IELTS :?: Not giving IELTS in the first stage wud really weaken my case? Considering the fact that I have given our case max. ponts for Language without appearing for IELTS right now. Our self aasesment points from the website are 74 (me & my wife)

pls. help Mickey Mouse...........he is soooooo confused :? pls help.
Appreciate It
Regards
MM

The letter that you refer to explains the detailed history of your English language abilities, including and training, education, or work experience conducted in that language. Such a letter can earn you a file number, but gives you absolutely no assurance of the score that you will be awarded on the language factor.

If English is not your first language, the immigration authorities are highly likely to request an accepted standardized language test such as the IELTS.

Thanks David for your reply. :D

I have 74 points(Giving maximum points for English Language)
This a a joint application with my wife.

Even though the medium of communication has been English throughout my student and work life I am planning to appear for IELTS but I cannot submit IELTS score right now since I am planning to take that test in September.

I can't provide work exp letter from my employer.

I want to apply now, but I am not sure whether I need to submit PCC with my application now or wait for CIC to request for the same.

Please advice.

Thanks,
MM
