Hello David,
I have worked with an IT firm in Ontario for 1.5 years under the IT NOC program last lyear, when I applied for renewal of work permit, CIC refused me becuase they said I need LMO this time. The letter of employment from my current employer is not enough they said. Fine, so now my employer is helping me out to secure LMO approval in order for me to apply for my work permit extension. So far that's good, right?
Now, here is my current situation, I learned that Quebec does not require LMO for IT and I am looking at moving there and find an IT job in the same category that I am right now in Ontario. So what would happen, If I apply to a different Job in Quebec, and they expressed their interest in hiring me. I understand that although LMO is not required in Quebec, work permit is still needed by an individual, therefore I will have to apply for a new one, under a different employer. Is that correct? And what is the chance that CIC would grant me another work permit for another employer, considering that I have been accepted in Ontario already? My case is a little bit complicated so please bear wiith my question. thanks.
