Leaving Canada for a vacation!

Postby quiriano on Wed Jan 26, 2011 4:49 pm

Hello everyone, I am foreign worker inside of "Pilot Project for Occupations Requiring Lower Levels of Formal Training (NOC C and D)" program with 1 year work permit. I'm looking forward to go for a vacation in Jamaica only for 1 week (may 2011). My work permit expires on october 1st 2011. I'm wondering how can i apply to get a permission to go outside of Canada and dont have any problems to return? What are the steps? Is it a risk to go out for a vacation and have problems with the immigration to return?

If you are not passport visa exempt, you must ensure that you have a valid entry visa at such time as you seek to return to Canada. If your original entry visa is no longer valid, then an application for a new one must be sent to a visa office outside Canada.
