A Chinese national, have been working in US for the last 18 months.

If submit the WP application (under the IT workers program) through Buffalo in person, will they require medical examination or police certificate?

I have to fly to Buffalo, so I want to know how soon I can get the WP to arrange the trip, etc.

Anyone had similar experience?

Work Permit = Work Visa?? Can I use it to enter Canada?

If you have resided in the USA (i.e., a non-designated country for medical examinations), then you should not be required to undergo medical examinations in the case described. Police clearances are not a typical requirement at the visa offices in the USA either.

You will be issued an entry visa for travel to Canada and a work permit at the port of entry.
