Investment analyst and NAFTA

Postby zhu25899 on Tue Jan 11, 2011 5:39 pm

I am a US citizen. I am applying for a research analyst (corporate credit) job in a Canadian investment management company in Alberta. Company is interested in my background but I need to get work permit on my own. I checked the NAFTA professional list. There is an Economist category there. Does it cover investment analyst? Can I apply for work permit under this and exempt from LMO?

Economist and Investment Analyst have differing occupational definitions as used by government officials in determining cases. It would not be expected that an occupation accurately fitting the definition of one would be approved as the other.
