Hi

I am booking a tour of the United States and Canada, we are cross over from Detroit, Mi to Buffalo, NY. To do so we are booking shows one in Windsor, ON CA & Toronto, ON CA. Not really sure where to start, looking for any and all help i can find. I heard you have to get a Temporary Work Visa but not sure the requirements and where to do so,

Thanks

Is this a musical tour? What are the venues?

From this forum:

If the location is not a bar or restaurant type venue, then a work permit is not required.

If the location is a bar or restaurant type venue, then the candidate may be eligible for a work permit if the stated Canadian work is Confirmed prior to an application. In order to be eligible for such Confirmation, you or your prospective Canadian employer must satisfy Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (newly renamed Service Canada) that the job offer is suitable for a foreign worker.

Additional information on this topic may be found at our web site at the following URL:

Following Confirmation, you may apply for your temporary work permit at a Canadian Port of Entry. The advantage of applying at the Port of Entry is that there is usually no delay in processing - a decision will generally be rendered on the spot.

You may also apply for a work permit in this category at a Canadian visa office. Although the visa office would grant a decision prior to any travel requirement, the process of applying through this avenue is generally 2-4 weeks on average.
